Theme Focus Text: John 8:32. Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31-32 NLT)

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31-32 NLT)

Q1. Who was Jesus talking to? (The people who believe in Him)

Q2. What did He say to them? (To be His true disciple, (not fake disciple), they have to be: faithful to His teachings/ abide in His word.

Q3. What will happen to them if they continue in His word? (They will know the truth.)

Q4. What do they gain by knowing the truth? (They will be free. Free from What?  (People telling them lies, deceiving them, tricking them, free from suffering. ……)

When Jesus was going back to heaven, He gave His disciples a big job to do: Q5. What do you think the job was? (Go and tell everyone to believe in me, and make every believer to become my disciple and start the chain going.

The Great Commission

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20  (NLT)

Main Emphansis:  JESUS CALLS EVERY BELIEVER TO BE HIS DISCIPLE BECAUSE HE WANTS US TO BE FREE; HE WANTS THE BEST OR US

Q6. Are you included in the chain? How do you know? (You believe in Jesus, you must learn and believe in His word and continue in it and tell others the good news and continue the chain.
